The Diabetes UK Moray group is one of over 350 voluntary groups situated throughout the UK.
Our goal is to provide support and information to people living with diabetes, as well as their family, friends, carers and anyone else who is interested in knowing more about diabetes.
We encourage those interested to attend our group meetings which are a welcoming and social environment for people to discuss diabetes and its effects. Support and companionship are some of the simplest yet most important aspects of living with diabetes - this is why our group exists and we want to help in any way that we can.
We are committed to raising awareness of diabetes, its symptoms and complications among the wider public. We do this by;
taking our branded gazebo to local events, highland games etc especially through the summer,
giving our presentation "Understanding Diabetes" to community groups of many different types. Indeed to anyone who will listen.
We are also active fundraisers, primarily to support our local work but we also support Diabetes Scotland Careline and research projects in Scotland who are working towards better treatment for diabetes and ultimately searching for a cure.
